A cultural event and exhibition

The cultural events of Bengalis are deeply intertwined with the uttoriyo (traditional Bengali stole). Pamela Majumdar, the founder of Uttoriya, aims to bring this uttoriyo into the limelight. She has created a collection of uttorios by employing rural women from parts of Bengal to do handcraft work. On Saturday, they launched their online store, and to mark the occasion, a special event was organized at the Wisdom tree cafe in the city. The evening was filled with poetry recitations, Bengali songs, and a fashion show.

Poetry was recited by Rajdeep Puri, Mohona Majumdar, Nirmalya Biswas, and Suman Mukherjee. Light music was performed by Arnab Sen. The event was inaugurated by the renowned artist Samir Aich. Distinguished guests at the event included Binayak Bandopadhyay, Animesh Shastri, Pradip Acharya, Mousumi Hossain, Debashish Saha, and Arijit Chakraborty.

The event was hosted by Moumita Ghosh. The fashion walk featured Sara M. Nath, Soumit Das, and Aman. Experts believe that the initiative by Pamela Majumdar and Jayanta Majumdar will become popular with everyone.
