Description

Dokra is a 4,000-year-old non-ferrous metal casting craft using the lost-wax technique. Traced back to the Indus Valley Civilization, it is practiced across central and eastern India by traditional metalsmith tribes. The technique is named after the Dhokra Damar tribes of West Bengal which is the traditional blacksmith community.
